Energy Saving Lightbulbs

I thought this was a good deal from Menards:

Purchase three 100 watt fluorescent light bulbs for $11.95 and get a $5 rebate.

Supposedly each bulb will save approximately $9 per year in energy costs and last for seven years, but the statistics were based on leaving the lights on for 7 hours per day, 365 days a year. I don’t think we ever come close to leaving any of our lights on for that length of time.

We’ll see if they make a difference. . .
