96th Festival of Frugality

by Rocket Finance

The 96th Festival of Frugality is up at FIRE finance. Boy, these festivals are getting bigger and bigger. Maybe I should start my own. . . as if I don’t have enough to do. Anyway, there was a lot of good information and FIRE was good enough to include my post about retail mark-up.

Other highlights include:

A post about how having a second child does not cost much from a Canadian blog. I don’t agree with the Financial Blogger, but you be the judge.

A post about do-it-yourself funerals has a lot of cost saving potential despite being a bit macabre. Our modern culture seems to avoid dealing with death at all cost. In the past, people accepted death as a part of life – and funeral homes profit.

Posts about ways to save money never get old and I always find something new. Being Frugal asks What’s the Easiest Frugal Thing You Do? Stop by and leave a tip.

Featuring our second Canadian blog of the day, Becoming Cheap gives 4 Mind Tricks for frugality. I like them all and love Star Wars allusion. I will just pretend that I am Luke Skywalker the next time I am in a store.

Be frugal by saving 3% on your top three categories with the Chase Freedom Card.
