Sometimes I find myself working on my blog ahead of freelance work or other projects I could be developing that lead directly to money. On a financial basis, it's not worth it. Blogging doesn't pay until you are one of the 'big guys', but I continue to do it because I enjoy it and I learn a lot as I go. I think you made a wise decision.
