$100 Bonus from AMEX Preferred Rewards Gold Card

There are many sources of this income - some of which I hope to be detail in the coming year. Our #3 source of alternate income this last year was credit card bonuses. We earned close to $1,000 just from credit card bonuses alone - equivalent to our alternate income for 2.5 months. With most cards, we double our money when my wife and I apply separately.
We plan to make $200 from the American Express Preferred Rewards Gold Card in the next month when we both apply for cards. American Express is offering 10,000 points that can be redeemed for a $100 gift card after your first purchase with the card. $100 gift cards can be exchanged for 10,000 points from Home Depot, Gap, Sharper Image, Bath and Body Works, Land’s End, Banana Republic, Nike and many more. You can even receive a $10 or $25 card from several of the above stores if you desire. Our budget is most helped by Gap and Home Depot cards.
