Rocket Finance in 2008

by Rocket Finance

I have a number of personal New Year’s resolutions, but I am not sure that I am going to share them here. . . However, I am going to post some of the themes that you will find in reading Rocket Finance during 2008:

  1. Fewer posts, but higher quality. I want to emulate the Digerati style – longer, well-thought out posts that can stand for a day or two.
  2. Money Mondays. Every Monday, I would like to post about content that is driven by Money Magazine. The publication has been a great source of information on my financial journey and I think its content will benefit a wide audience.
  3. Coffee. Blogs are better when the content is driven by something that the writer is passionate about. An authentic voice helps writing and even though this is a personal finance blog, Mrs. Rocket and I happen to love coffee. We are always looking for a good cup-a-joe and of course, we are committed to finding free coffee.
  4. Kids and Money. I am determined to protect my children against the same financial mistakes that I have made in my life. This blog will document my efforts to become more educated myself and to pass some of that knowledge on.

As we begin 2008, I also need to thank two personal finance bloggers who have been an encouragement to me as a fledgling blogger – Hustler from hustlermoneyblog and Plonkee from plonkeemoney. I encourage you to subscribe to both.

Happy New Year from me!

You’re going to find free coffee? Let me know when you do! I’m a fellow coffee addict!

Oooh, I love coffee too. We have free coffee at work. It’s not very good but it stops me going the Starbucks in the building.

Looking forward to reading rocket finance in 2008.

@ Lynnae, ha! but remember, beggars can’t be choosers. . . that is my wife’s problem.

@ plonkee, I am in the same boat, saving that $4 a day really adds up. How much is a grande mocha in euros? or lbs?

Sounds great! My wife won’t be excited about this coffee, but it’s good enough for me. 🙂
